01 "An Act relating to delayed payment of legislators' salaries; and providing for                                         
02 an effective date."                                                                                                     
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 24.10.100 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                            
05  (b)  Notwithstanding (a) of this section, a warrant for salary may not be issued                                      
06 to a legislator after the 90th day of a regular session until after an appropriation bill                               
07 for operations of state government for the next fiscal year has been adopted by both                                    
08 houses of the legislature or referred to a conference committee.                                                        
09    * Sec. 2.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
