01 "An Act limiting tenure in the legislature."                                                                            
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 24.05.030 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                            
04  (b)  A person may not serve consecutively more than four full or partial terms                                        
05 as a representative.  A person may not serve consecutively more than two full or                                        
06 partial terms as a senator.  In addition, a person may not serve consecutively more than                                
07 11 full or partial calendar years in the legislature.                                                                   
08    * Sec. 2.  APPLICATION.  AS 24.05.030(b), added by sec. 1 of this Act, applies only to                               
09 periods served in the legislature after 1992.
