01 "An Act relating to the duties of the Board of Regents of the University of Alaska."                                    
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 14.40.190 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
04 (c) In addition to the reports required under (a) and (b) of this section, the                                          
05 Board of Regents shall prepare and present to the legislative committees having                                         
06 jurisdiction over education a biennial report, not later than the 30th legislative day of                               
07 the first regular session of each legislature, that indicates the national, regional, and                               
08 programmatic accreditation status of the university and describes the efforts the                                       
09       university has made to achieve and maintain accreditation.
