00                  SPONSOR SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 23                                                               
01 "An Act relating to registration fees for snowmobiles and off-highway vehicles."                                        
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 28.10.421(d)(7) is amended to read:                                                                
04                 (7) an [A SNOWMOBILE OR] off-highway vehicle  ....  $10;                                            
05    * Sec. 2. AS 28.10.421(d) is amended by adding a new paragraph to read:                                            
06                 (26)  a snowmobile  ............................ $20.                                                   
07    * Sec. 3. AS 28.39.020(e) is amended to read:                                                                      
08            (e) The original and each renewal registration fee for a snowmobile is as                                    
09       provided under AS 28.10.421, except that the fee [SHALL BE MULTIPLIED BY                                          
10       TWO FOR A FOUR-YEAR REGISTRATION AND MULTIPLIED BY THREE] for                                                     
11       a six-year registration is $50.
