00                              HOUSE BILL NO. 56                                                                          
01 "An Act making arson in the first degree and arson in the second degree serious felonies                                
02 for purposes of application of the crime of conspiracy."                                                                
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 11.31.120(h)(2) is amended to read:                                                                
05                 (2)  "serious felony offense" means an offense                                                          
06                      (A)  against the person under AS 11.41, punishable as an                                           
07            unclassified or class A felony;                                                                              
08                      (B)  involving controlled substances under AS 11.71,                                               
09            punishable as an unclassified, class A, or class B felony;                                                   
10                      (C)  that is criminal mischief in the first degree under                                           
11            AS 11.46.475; [OR]                                                                                           
12                      (D)  that is terroristic threatening in the first degree under                                     
13            AS 11.56.807; or                                                                                         
14                      (E)  that is arson in the first degree under AS 11.46.400 or                                   
01            arson in the second degree under AS 11.46.410.
