01 "An Act relating to the proper disposal of the state flag."                                                             
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 44.09.030 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
04            (c)  An official flag of the state that is no longer a fitting emblem for display                            
05       because it is worn, tattered, or otherwise damaged shall be respectfully destroyed by                             
06       fire.
