01 "An Act declaring September Education Savings Month."                                                                   
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
04            Sec. 44.12.100. Education Savings Month. The month of September each                                       
05       year is established as Education Savings Month. Education Savings Month may be                                    
06       observed by schools, community groups, and other public and private agencies and                                  
07       individuals with appropriate activities that increase public awareness of the                                     
08       importance of saving for a child's education.
