01 "An Act relating to firearms."                                                                                          
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 29.35.145(a) is amended to read:                                                                  
04            (a)  A municipality may not enact or enforce an ordinance regulating the                                 
05       possession, sale, transfer, use, or transportation of firearms that is inconsistent                           
06       with state law [, EXCEPT BY ORDINANCE RATIFIED BY THE VOTERS,                                                 
07       RESTRICT THE RIGHT TO OWN OR POSSESS FIREARMS WITHIN A                                                            
08       RESIDENCE OR TRANSPORT UNLOADED FIREARMS].
