00                          HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 4                                                                         
01 Establishing a House Special Committee on Oil and Gas.                                                                  
02 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES:                                                                         
03       WHEREAS the state's dependence on oil revenue requires that the Alaska State                                    
04 Legislature be well informed on all aspects of the state's oil and gas resources;                                       
05       BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives that a House Special Committee                                   
06 on Oil and Gas is established to study issues relating to oil and gas resources in the state; and                       
07 be it                                                                                                                   
08       FURTHER RESOLVED that the speaker of the House of Representatives shall                                         
09 determine the number of representatives to be members of the committee and shall appoint                                
10 the members and designate a member to chair the committee; and be it                                                    
11       FURTHER RESOLVED that the House Special Committee on Oil and Gas may                                            
12 meet during and between sessions of the Twenty-Second Alaska State Legislature and is                                   
13 terminated on the convening of the First Session of the Twenty-Third Alaska State                                       
14 Legislature.
