01 "An Act relating to the procurement of certain travel services."                                                        
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  AS 36.30.850(b) is amended by adding a new paragraph to read:                                        
04                 (42)  contracts for travel services, including airplane travel, hotel                                   
05       accommodations, and travel agency services, but excluding motor vehicle rentals.                                  
06    * Sec. 2.  The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                         
07 read:                                                                                                                   
08       APPLICABILITY.  AS 36.30.850(b)(42), added by sec. 1 of this Act, does not apply                                  
09 to a contract entered into before the effective date of this Act if, by the terms of the contract,                      
10 the contract continues to be effective on or after the effective date of this Act.
