01 "An Act making a special appropriation to the principal of the permanent fund."                                         
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1.  On June 30, 1996, an amount equal to the balance of the earnings reserve                               
04 account (AS 37.13.145) less $100,000,000, less the amount calculated under AS 37.13.145(c)                              
05 to offset the effect of inflation on the principal of the permanent fund during fiscal year 1996,                       
06 and less the amount authorized under AS 37.13.145(b) for transfer to the dividend fund                                  
07 (AS 43.23.045(a)) for the payment of 1996 permanent fund dividends, is appropriated to the                              
08 principal of the Alaska permanent fund.
