00 HOUSE BILL NO. 374 01 "An Act relating to pricing and marketing of alcoholic beverages; to liquor 02 licenses issued to a restaurant or eating place; and providing for an effective 03 date." 04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 * Section 1. AS 04.11.150 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: 06  (j) A package store licensee, agent, or employee may not offer, as a marketing 07 device to the general public, free alcoholic beverages to a patron, or encourage or 08 permit an organized game or contest on the licensed premises that involves the 09 awarding of alcoholic beverages as prizes. 10 * Sec. 2. AS 04.11.360(9) is amended to read: 11  (9) the license was issued under AS 04.11.400(g) [AS 04.11.100(f) OR 12 04.11.400(g)]; or 13 * Sec. 3. AS 04.11.100(f) is repealed. 14 * Sec. 4. TRANSITION. A restaurant or eating place license issued under AS 04.11.100(f) 01 before the effective date of sec. 3 of this Act shall expire on January 1, 1997, may not be 02 transferred to another person, and may only be renewed if the licensee meets the requirements 03 of AS 04.11.100, as amended by sec. 3 of this Act, and other applicable provisions of law. 04 * Sec. 5. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
