00 HOUSE BILL NO. 53                                                                                                       
01 "An Act making appropriations to the principal of the Alaska permanent fund                                             
02 from the constitutional budget reserve fund under art. IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution                                     
03 of the State of Alaska; and providing for an effective date."                                                           
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1.  An amount equal to one-half of the money that (1) was received by the State                            
06 of Alaska during calendar years 1993 and 1994, (2) was deposited into the budget reserve fund                           
07 (art. IX, sec. 17, Constitution of the State of Alaska), and (3) is not otherwise appropriated                          
08 as of January 1, 1995, is appropriated from the budget reserve fund (art. IX, sec. 17,                                  
09 Constitution of the State of Alaska) to the principal of the Alaska permanent fund.                                     
10    * Sec. 2.  An amount equal to one-half of the money received by the State of Alaska during                           
11 calendar years 1995 and 1996 and deposited into the budget reserve fund (art. IX, sec. 17,                              
12 Constitution of the State of Alaska) is appropriated from the budget reserve fund (art. IX, sec.                        
13 17, Constitution of the State of Alaska) to the principal of the Alaska permanent fund.                                 
14    * Sec. 3.  The appropriations from the budget reserve fund contained in this Act are made                            
01 under art. IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution of the State of Alaska.                                                         
02    * Sec. 4.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
