00 SENATE BILL NO. 232                                                                                                     
01 "An Act relating to reimbursement of bonds issued for school construction; and                                          
02 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 14.11.100(n) is amended to read:                                                                    
05  (n)  The total amount of school construction projects approved for                                                    
06 reimbursement by the department under (a)(6) or (7) of this section                                                     
07   (1)  may not exceed $340,000,000 [$250,000,000]; and                                                               
08   (2)  until July 1, 1996, shall be allocated as follows:                                                              
09   (A)  $133,000,000 shall be allocated to projects in a municipality                                                  
10 with a population of 200,000 or more people;                                                                            
11   (B)  $67,000,000 shall be allocated to projects in a municipality                                                   
12 with a population of at least 60,000, but less than 200,000 people;                                                     
13   (C)  $50,000,000 shall be allocated to projects in a municipality                                                   
14 with less than 60,000 people;                                                                                          
01   (D)  $90,000,000 shall be allocated to projects in a                                                                
02 municipality without regard to the population of the municipality.
