01 "An Act relating to the longevity bonus program; and providing for an effective                                         
02 date."                                                                                                                  
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1.  AS 47.45.010(a) is amended to read:                                                                    
05  (a)  A person who is 65 years of age or over, who resides in the state for at                                         
06 least one year immediately preceding application for a longevity bonus under this                                       
07 chapter, may apply to the commissioner of administration for qualification to receive                                   
08 a monthly bonus [OF $250].                                                                                              
09    * Sec. 2.  AS 47.45.010 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                               
10  (e)  The amount of a monthly longevity bonus equals                                                                   
11   (1)  $250 during 1993;                                                                                               
12   (2)  $200 during 1994;                                                                                               
13   (3)  $150 during 1995;                                                                                               
14   (4)  $100 during 1996;                                                                                               
01   (5)  $50 during 1997.                                                                                                
02    * Sec. 3.  AS 47.45.010 - 47.45.160 are repealed on January 1, 1998.                                                 
03    * Sec. 4.  This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
